Diarmaid is a Partner and Head of Audit. Diarmaid provides audit and assurance services to the Firm’s domestic and international Financial Services clients. Diarmaid also leads the provision of the Firm’s services to Credit Unions and domestic and international retail banks.
Diarmaid was appointed to the Credit Union Advisory Committee (CUAC) in 2018 by the Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform. CUAC was established to advise the Minister regarding the improvement of the management of credit unions; the protection of the interests of members and creditors of credit unions; and other matters relating to credit unions upon which the Minister and the Central Bank of Ireland may from time to time seek the advice of the Committee.
Diarmaid is a member of Chartered Accountants Ireland’s Audit & Assurance Committee (“AAC”). The AAC is responsible for providing guidance to members on auditing and assurance matters including those relating to the financial services sector.
Diarmaid is also a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the Irish Debt Securities Association’s (“IDSA”) Audit Committee. The IDSA is an industry organisation formed to promote and develop Ireland as a location for activities to support the global structured finance, debt securities and specialist securities industries.
Diarmaid joined EisnerAmper Ireland from Deloitte where he was Director of Audit & Advisory in the firm’s Financial Services department.
Diarmaid is a Law & Accounting graduate of the University of Limerick and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
